Over the past decade mysterious objects have made their way into countless photographs across the globe and a debate rages as to what these things are, where they come from and why they have suddenly appeared among us. There is a huge gamut of opinion; one extreme endows these objects with qualities bordering on the divine and the other dismisses them as nothing more than stray particles of water or dust that have made their way into the camera's field of view. Countless theories and pseudoscientific concepts have been put forward to explain away these persistent wrinkles in our currently accepted view of the world we live in, but our personal experience with the phenomena itself does not allow us to accept or believe the majority of the labels, titles and explanations that have been given to orbs and related phenomena in the relatively short period of time that they have been in the public eye. We will not call them fairies or pixies, we will not attribute them to aliens, ghosts, spirits or lost souls walking among us manifesting as spheres. We will not label them as ball lightning, swamp gas or merely insects caught in the light of the camera's flash. Our extensive experimentation proves that we cannot dismiss them as dust, pollen, ash, precipitation or optical anomalies, though such things do manifest commonly in photographic images. Even to the most casual observer, the images presented here will dispense with these rationalizations summarily. The photos we offer here, truly do speak for themselves in so many ways. Even if we were to remove the highly controversial 'orb' entirely from our field of study, there is still a great deal of material to investigate. Orbs and related phenomena are simply and unquestionably MORE.

We have made every effort to permit the phenomenon to speak for itself, avoiding the urge to manipulate what we were experiencing to make it fit into any agenda or system of thought where it does not truly belong. The theories and hypotheses presented here, are a direct and logical result of our experiences with the diometric world. The evidence we have gleaned thus far through the medium of the digital camera serves as a way pointer to yet another realm, layer or frontier of existence that either co-exists within the context of our own or has regular access to it. There is absolutely no doubt that these objects that have been introduced to us through the medium of the digital camera are life forms in their own right. Further, these life forms have always been with us, in much the same way that microbes and protozoa have always been with us. It merely took the introduction of the proper tool to break through the barriers that existed between known and unknown reality. The digital camera, like the microscope, has opened the door to another new world of discovery. Although comparisons can be made between diometric life forms and those that populate our world in a more conspicuous way, there are also some dramatic and dynamic differences in how these life forms manifest and in what way they carry our the process of life itself. The fact that diometric beings break so many of our established physical and mechanical 'laws' may in and of itself be a sign that we are now due to expand and redraw some of those accepted 'laws' and tenets of belief in every realm of human experience. This threshold of change promises to be a dynamic one, impacting on both the personal and the planetary level.

It is important to remember that the photos presented here are without digital enhancement other than the occasional lightening or contrast adjustment. These basic functions are always applied across the entire image to bring out the detailed content of a given photo, features that have already been captured by the digital camera medium. Nothing is added. These most basic tools merely enable us to better view what is already embedded in the photo file. There has been no cut and paste. No colour or chroma changes or enhancements have been applied. The digital camera has become a key to a dimensional door that allows us to experience a level of reality that lies just beyond the reach of our body based senses. This may not be the first knock at that door that our culture has experienced and responded to, but rather part of an entire campaign aimed at the evolution of human understanding. How we go through that door, is important to our evolution as a species. Diometric phenomena is holding open the door to that threshold and if we manage to keep our minds unfettered by conditioned thinking, convenient assumptions and fear, we will be able to walk through that door and explore what is on the other side. Every rational human being senses, even intuitively knows, that what we term reality extends beyond the limits of what we can see, or hear, or touch, or measure. Dioms may well be the catalyst that actually proves this intuitive knowing that lies at the core of human consciousness.
